Why All of The Photos on Your iPhone Don’t Show up on Your PC or Mac

Damn you Apple and your voodoo magic!

So a friend of my wife asked me why the 13,000 or so photos on her iPhone 5S didn’t all show up when she connected her phone to her computer.  In looking into the problem I actually found I suffered from a similar issue; my phone says that I have 505 photos stored but when I connect it to my PC and try and transfer them over only about 35 photos were showing in the Photos app on my Mac.

After a bit of a search online I found some forum posts that described this actual problem and it turns out there are two seperate issues that can cause this.

Cheap as chips Mac keyboard for typists.

Just recently I spanked more than I should have on an old G5 Power Mac.  One of the downsides was that it didn’t come with a keyboard so I was forced to scour the Internet looking for a Mac compatible keyboard that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg.

A few years back Apple made the dubious decision to remove iWeb from it’s iLife suite of creativity programs.  iWeb itself wasn’t that great when it came to producing websites, but it was incredibly easy to use and the removal outraged many amateurs who wanted to create their own website or blog.

Solar powered Bluetooth wonder

I recently bought a new Mac Mini and was quite surprised (actually, I wasn’t surprised, but I was annoyed) to find that Apple’s ultra-affordable Mac doesn’t come with any form of input device.  That wouldn’t be so bad, if Apple didn’t want to sting you for sixty quid for the official Bluetooth keyboard.  I would much rather Apple just bundle the mouse and keyboard with the Mini and bump the price up, but I don’t work in Apple’s marketing department.
